Part 2 of the Ocarina of Time manga is where the fun happens. It's basically a video game in a manga, and Akira Himekawa made sure that readers would feel that. It's quest after quest, slowly progressing to a climax that is very satisfying to feel.

Ocarina of Time is a past-the-book good versus evil story. Fifty-fifty the bad guys knew that they are the bad ones in the story. Don't look an LOTR/GoT-esque plot. Ocarina of time is all about Link's coming of age story and not about great battles and

Part 2 of the Ocarina of Time manga is where the fun happens. Information technology's basically a video game in a manga, and Akira Himekawa made certain that readers would feel that. Information technology'south quest after quest, slowly progressing to a climax that is very satisfying to experience.

Nostalgia throw-back! (Part ii)

Yes - similar the above pictures states, reading the beginning part is pretty vital to the story. :)

Anyways, I really enjoyed this one as much equally the first, if non more.

Part two finishes up the Ocarina of Time series merely also adds some side quests at the finish. Which volition, from the looks of it, directly represent with the next installments.

Oh, but yep Keanu... it will be a continuation.

I did accept a few gripes, yet they didn't affect the ratings since it was minor.

Anyways, I really enjoyed this ane as much equally the outset, if not more.

Part 2 finishes up the Ocarina of Time series but also adds some side quests at the end. Which will, from the looks of it, directly correspond with the side by side installments.

Oh, but yes Keanu... it will exist a continuation.

I did accept a few gripes, however they didn't impact the ratings since it was minor.

1) When Link is supposed to travel to the Haunted Wastelands, he suddenly appears in the Water Temple. I have no clue how this just pops up into the story line and I'thousand pretty certain there were no missing pages.

two) There was a minor translation mistake - but who am I to complain? I couldn't translate Japanese if my life depended on information technology!

three) Just like part 1, there'due south then super small-scale print and no color.

As well those, the story and illustrations are fantastic!

Oh and earlier I forget, anybody says Navi (Links companion) is annoying:

A continuation of Ocarina of Time Office i, this carries a lot of my praise and criticism from the previous book. Across that, a few comments:

This final section seems quite rushed, with many "dungeons" being skipped and resolved in a single folio. I didn't need to meet a chapter for each dungeon, only I felt like those final segments lacked depth.

I was really intrigued by the fact that a couple of the sages finish upwardly traveling with Link for a significant part of his journeying. This offers excellent character development for both parties—Nabooru is hilarious—and did a great task filling the space between dungeons.

I was surprised that the Ocarina of Time was never really used; after all, it'south the namesake. This story focuses on the adult timeline, but it offers none of the time-hopping shenanigans that defined the gameplay we expected.

My favorite parts of the story were actually two little shorts at the end:
The first is a charming story nigh immature Link making friends with a lone Skull Child in the forest. Its childish innocence brought a smiling to my face many times.
The 2nd is a hilarious side-story about Navi leaving adult Link later on a piffling squabble. She scours the countryside looking for a new partner, and Link is just glad to exist free of her nagging. I literally laughed out loud. It wrapped up with a platitude still fitting moral.

Overall the Ocarina of Time books were pretty good. I'd recommend them to whatsoever fan of the game, if only for the chance to relive it ane more time with a new perspective.

Outset off, let me showtime by saying that the artwork in this entire volume was gorgeously done.

So this book consisted of 3 stories basically. I'm gonna give a brusque review of each.

•The first role of this manga, was the continuation of the Ocarina of fourth dimension story. Again, a lot of details were changed. But I still enjoyed the way the story was formed. When I played the game, I didn't beat it, so I wasn't as connected with it as I was with the outset one. But I loved all of the added Sheik and Link sc

First off, let me start by proverb that the artwork in this entire book was gorgeously done.

Then this book consisted of three stories basically. I'm gonna give a short review of each.

•The first role of this manga, was the continuation of the Ocarina of fourth dimension story. Again, a lot of details were changed. Simply I nevertheless enjoyed the mode the story was formed. When I played the game, I didn't beat it, so I wasn't as continued with it as I was with the first ane. But I loved all of the added Sheik and Link scenes and the fact that Link already formed such a strong bond with Sheik, even earlier discovering that *spoiler, he was actually Princess Zelda. Overall, information technology was a cute representation of the game, so amazingly done. 5/5

•The next story was the Skull Kid story, which just completely broke my centre, and made me autumn in love with the Skull Kid and, oh my gosh, he is just such a precious affections, and even after existence brainwashed by that weird, evil version of the Deku tree, his friendship with Link still prevailed, the ending was beautiful besides. v/5

•The last story was the ane about this bird kid from the Watarara tribe. Which I didn't really care for as much as the others. The saving grace of this ane, bated from the fine art, was the part of the story in which Navi leaves Link because she felt unappreciated, and they both realized how much they both needed each other.

Merely like part one: Somewhere between three and 4 stars. three.75, maybe. Good if you are already a fan of of OoT or are a kid. I am definitely i of those. Or a bit of both.

I'm interested in seeing how far this serial strays from the video games. It's already skipped over a decent number of plot points, just thankfully it's managed to keep the heart and soul of the series intact. Link, Zelda, and Ganon are the perfect trinity of chief characters. A tale equally old as time. The Hero, the Princess, and the Dark Lord. Information technology'south like poetry. This is the 2d part of the 'Ocarina of Time' manga, and the 2nd volume overall in the Legend of Zelda manga serial. If y'all enjoyed the game 'Ocarina of Fourth dimension', you will definitely enjoy this. The manga does not follow the game to the alphabetic character, just it is a very practiced adaptation, and for someone who loved the game, I found this to be a very good manga.

A good read for the most part. They could have spent more than time on the story though, they tried to condense information technology to much. The extra capacity were ok, but I would rather accept seen that space dedicated to the main story. Several points were really just skipped through. However, a adept thing was the time devoted to Shiek, a graphic symbol that was non explored enough in the game itself. I had actually hoped they would work more on the ending, just it had as much confusion as the game. My big sticking point th A good read for the about part. Great addition to the first manga volume in this series. I enjoyed reading it. A must read for manga lovers every where.

A lot of people who know me know that I tend not to lookout movies or read stories that are primarily almost romance. What they don't know is that I'm a sucker for a good love story when it'south disguised equally something else. Lord of the rings, for all its crawly lore and epic battles, is about a ideal love for friends, for instance, and its when love is used as the emotional center of all the other stuff that it really impacts me.

A lot of people who know me know that I tend not to watch movies or read stories that are primarily about romance. What they don't know is that I'one thousand a sucker for a good love story when it's disguised as something else. Lord of the rings, for all its crawly lore and epic battles, is most a ideal dear for friends, for instance, and its when love is used as the emotional middle of all the other stuff that it really impacts me.

I bring this up because I finished rereading this 2nd book of ocarina of time, an adaptation of i of the near legendary video games e'er fabricated. And ane of the reasons for its well regarded reputation is its story that forms the focal point of its acme notch gameplay. The matter is that at the end of the day, ocarina of time is nevertheless a game, and the chief focus is on the levels and boss fights and exploration.

Hither, the opposite is true. Confrontations with big baddies in this manga tend to only last five pages tops. Information technology makes them feel almost incidental, and the focus is more than on its themes of growing up and how that affects people. For instance, mido in the game is little more than a sentient road cake given petty development. His rivalry with link is only mentioned briefly and doesn't really come up back in any meaning way. Here, when link is an developed, he works together with mido to relieve their mutual childhood friend/ beat out saria. Only there's something so very, very sad about how mido nigh but doesn't quite recognize link, and how when asked why he doesn't reveal his identity to mido, he says "and so that next fourth dimension we see, we can be friends."

This manga is filled to the brim with wonderful little moments like that, the most significant of which is link'due south final cheerio to Zelda. In the course of merely a few panels, the authors manage to inject then much bittersweet poignancy into this story in a way the game didn't.

Link'south love of the globe and the acceptance of his duty is a large function, merely it'southward how he and Zelda are willing so cede a possible life together to alive out the roles they're destined for that drag this from simply a groovy adaptation to an accented masterpiece. I don't play Zelda games then I'g but reviewing it as a story itself. But I can see there is a lot of respect, beloved, and care put into this manga and it shows.

Story
The story is really touching right up to the end. The main story is well done and interesting. Link is lovable. All three timelines hither are enjoyable to read. I similar how they stress the vii missing years in the book making him feel cheated. He feels fully fleshed out.
I know there are gamer's out there that would love to run across Navi 1000

I don't play Zelda games so I'm simply reviewing it equally a story itself. But I can see at that place is a lot of respect, love, and care put into this manga and it shows.

Awesome continuation from function 1. They accept really captured the story while giving information technology new life and the grapheme's personality like you lot've never seen it earlier. Such beautiful scenes and dialogue, and some fave things from the games, like random characters including the fisherman store owner, and the laboratory crazy lady at lake Hylia. So thankful there are Manga adaptations to these Zelda games, hopefully, they continue the series with the new games that take come out. Very beautiful spreads! Awesome continuation from part one. The art style is beautiful and I call back Himekawa gave Link a fitting voice/personality, but sadly the story is too rushed. The shadow temple and the time travel aspect of both the shadow and spirit temple are non even mentioned. I would rather have seen no bonus stories and more pages for the main story.

This was an astonishing 2d part to the Ocarina Of Fourth dimension story which continues really well from the get-go half. There is besides two bonus stories which you are able to see Link before he has Navi and what it was like for him also the story of the Skull Kid besides in that location is another story most Link helping a beast in which you don't see in the game which made information technology a great addition to the book. This is the days after obtaining the principal sword. The story is amazing, simply I think if more emphasis was put in the dungeons and not just the boss fights, information technology would have benefited. Moreover, the Shadow Temple and Under the Well both did non brand an advent. Also, why should each boss require only one hit? Especially Phantom Ganon!

Had a lot of fun reminiscing over my childhood when I played this game. The manga is different but in a good manner! The final bonus stories were pretty enjoyable to read, I would have rather them be sprinkled throughout the book than piled at the end.

When I read the last boxing role, I thought that there were besides many pages left for the book to be over.... it wasn't over. Instead, "Ocarina of Time" finishes off with some cute bonus chapters.

Brought me back to my childhood!!

My review is about the same every bit volume i simply just a tad better. If I could rate it 3 ane/ii stars I would.
Cool art that sometimes gets muddled and confusing with the art in some of the action sequences. The story was simply okay.

I dear legend of Zelda so in my very biased stance these are great looking frontwards to introducing these to my kids.

Very cornball. The main plot seemed rushed while the side stories seemed to been given a lot more attention from the creators.

Akira Himekawa is the collaboration of two women, A. Honda and Southward. Nagano. Together they have created 9 manga adventures featuring Link and the pop video game world of The Legend of Zelda, including Ocarina of Time, Oracle of Seasons and Iv Swords. Their most contempo work, Fable of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, was serialized in Shogaku Rokunensei.
